Carcerys Vale plays the Historic Crest Theater!

Friday, March 5, 2010, Carcerys Vale had the incredible honor of playing the historic Crest Theater in Downtown Sacramento. A incredible venue that has been around for 60 years, and has a long-standing presence in the local music, comedy, and art scene. They played on the same stage that Kurt Cobain and Nirvana once played, as well as comedy shows Bernie Mac, Carrot Top and Sam Kinison.

They were there as finalists for the SN&R's 2010 Jammies, which is a local music/youth competition, along with 10 other talented bands. They were the only metal/hardcore band and they really weren't sure what to expect. How would the crowd react? Most of the groups were much more mellow. But, as always seems to be the case ... Carcerys Vale did their thing, and the crowd of 800+ really went crazy. It was an experience they won't soon forget.

2010 SN&R Jammies

Carcerys Vale played at Club Retro last night as part of the SN&R's 2010 Jammies contest. They played with 5 other bands, all consisting of local youth (thus the name "jammies"). There have been a few other "battles", with a few more to go, and then the SN&R will announce which band(s) get to play at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, California.

We all have fears. Are you ready to face yours?

So, first things … first.
We are hard at work creating new music for you: our friends, family and fans! To show our appreciation, and to give you a little sneak peek, we have posted the very first track from our highly-anticipated EP. Both the song and the EP are titled “Fears”. We do not have an official release date for the complete EP just yet, but please know that we are doing everything we can to get it out to you as soon as we can.

You will be the first to know!

In the meantime, we want you to be a part of our journey. In sharing this little glimpse of the upcoming EP, we truly feel that you will be able to see (and hear) the direction that this next chapter in Carcerys Vale’s saga is headed.

On the Radio.

Eyes of Desire was played on 98 Rock (yes, on the radio!) last night during Mark Gilmore's Local Licks program! His program runs from 10-11pm, and the song played at about 10:48pm. We are stoked! He gave us a great plug, saying at one point "up next is the highly anticipated Carcerys Vale". After the commercial break, it went right into the song! When the song was over, he talked about having been to one of our shows at Club Retro and that we screamed our asses off! Sick! Then he gave out the myspace address, and suggested that listeners definitely check us out.
